St. Mary Church Parish Choir
The music ministry uses music in some way to serve God. Service to God through the music ministry is generally expressed as service to the congregation of a church. Encouraging believers, supporting the sermon, praising and worshipping God and sharing the gospel with nonbelievers through song are all responsibilities of a music ministry. Other essential roles include gathering people for the beginning of a service, unifying a group for worship, providing segues between parts of a service and entertaining the congregation.
The parish choir is a choral ensemble of volunteer singers who contribute time and talent to enrich our Masses and special events. The choir regularly leads the singing of the hymns and an English setting of the Ordinary of the Mass, as well as the Responsorial Psalm rendered in Anglican chant and an anthem at the Offertory.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR OF ST. MARY PARISH
The children’s choir is open to all the children of the parish and welcomes new members. Currently there are about 20 singers ranging from age 3 to 11. Through the practice of music they are given the opportunity to grow in faith, artistry and fellowship. See the bulletin for rehearsal details.
